This unit is designed for the maintenance of the floodgate of Venice (MOSE). She is arranged in three independent modules, connectable one to each other in two different configurations, short & long according to the size of different floodgates.

LIFTING & TRANSPORTATION OF A 650t SHORE CRANE FROM GENOA TO LEGHORN

Interprogetti Genova was appointed to design the lifting, sea fastening and transportation of a 650 t shore crane. The lifting pad eyes were fitted on the legs of the crane and this required detailed strength analysis of the crane structures during lifting operations.

Ship conversion and lengthening M/V Four Spring

M/V Four Springs was a tanker lengthened of 22.5 m and converted into a bulk carrier with eight cargo holds. The design work included detailed 3D FEM analysis and detailed structural analysis of the connections between new topside tanks and the existing hull.

Conversion of a very old passenger ferry boat for inland navigation

The boat, built in 1930, was not provided with lines plan and to check the stability requirements of new regulations which became applicable in view of the extent of the conversion works (full electric propulsion), measurements by means of 3D laser scan were carried out. Such a technology is extensively used for reverse engineering activities mainly for the purpose of carrying out conversions, retrofitting, installation of new equipment etc.

Stability improvement of a RO-PAX

The 3D picture shows a typical solution used to improve the stability of a RO-RO Pax likewise it was done particularly at the time when SOLAS 90 and Stockholm agreement requirements became effective on several ships. In other circumstances, fitting of ducktails and/or modification of w.t. compartments and/or fitting of garage doors in combination with the installation of sponsons was dealt with.

SINGLE POINT MOORING ANALYSIS FOR DISCONNECTION AND RE-CONNECTION OF CHAINS AND RISERS

The job consisted in assessing the load acting on riser and the mooring chains of FSO “Alba Marina” at “Rospo Mare” oil field. The FSO was removed and scrapped to be replaced with a new FSO. Supervision during operations was also provided.
